At a crossroads of cultures and musical movements, between Sudan, Yemen and the United States, Alsarah, daughter of exodus, fascinates and transports with a voice as singular as charismatic.

With the Nubatones, band composed of three emeritus musicians, and with her sister singing, Alsarah delivers  an “East African retro-pop”.

The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art will be transported to another place, somewhere between Nubia and Brooklyn.
